Fensfeltet
The Fens field is a mineral deposit, approximately 5 km2, located at Ulefoss in the Nome municipality in Telemark. In a smaller area, 1.5 km2, Europe's largest deposit of rare earths has been proven, the estimate was originally 8.8 million tons, but was adjusted upwards to 15.9 million tons in 2026, making the Fens field the world's third largest recoverable deposit.
